The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declared the results of civil services (main) examination, 2014 yesterday after weeks of speculations.
The personality test / interview of the 3300+ successful candidates are likely to commence from April 27, the UPSC said in the official notification.
The issue of Jat community reservation quota had delayed the results for quite a while. They were pending the outcome of a review petition filed in the Supreme Court by the Centre to review its recent verdict that scrapped reservation for Jat community, official sources said.
A list carrying roll numbers of successful candidates have been put up on the UPSC's website - www.upsc.gov.in.
The Supreme Court had on March 17 set aside the decision of former UPA regime to include Jats in central list of Other Backward Classes (OBCs) to accord quota benefits to them following which, the Centre had moved the Supreme court on April 1 seeking review of its decision.
