There are a lot of talks about the unemployment increasing in India. We need to find out the basic rot of unemployment. People talk about the causes of unemployment in details but what people fail to do is they do not recognize the reasons for unemployment. We all understand that unemployment is a major reason towards the poverty of the country but we do not realize that unemployment arises majorly from the lack of education among the people.
In India the primary schools are opened in every district in order to provide people the basic level of education. The promotion of education has been in full flow in India. However according to a survey that was done in 2011 there are about only 53% people who have been admitted to school. Out of these people less than half of them are capable of getting through class 1.
Even worse that the students of class 3 to 5 cannot solve two digit problems and the students in class 6 to 8 do not know how to use a calendar. This is a serious concern. If this is the state of primary education in the country, how will people have the qualification levels to get to higher education courses, unless people are educated the problem with unemployment will continue to persist.
Some people in the country think that higher education is something that falls in place as soon as you are done with this primary stage. The state of higher education in the country is absolutely bizarre and needs to be sorted out as quickly as possible. Higher education is a very important criterion that needs to be taken care of in a country like India in order to reduce unemployment.
Some people send their children to school just for the sake of the afternoon meal. There is no scope for studying. Education is one of the most important things that this country lacks. The education system in the country is entitled to a lot of flaws itself. The education system needs to be strengthened in order to improve education in India.
Moreover the cost of education is on the rise at the moment. Every college and university has their own fee structure. The fee structure is rigid. Not all people can afford to pay a hefty amount for education. On top of that the private colleges have their own capitation fees. These the non deserving candidates get through and the deserving people stay behind due to lack of financial support.
A few things need to be resurrected in order to improve the condition of education in the country. First of all the dominance of the private colleges need to be curved down. The fee structure needs to be stabilized in order to give every person a fair chance to pursue higher education. The courses for higher education should have more variety and the same thing should not be taught again and again over the years.
