Vocational education is considered as an important element to initiate the education system of the nation. Vocational education is the training which provides practical experience in a particular field, occupation or an industry. The Government should take proper steps to promote vocational training programs. It is advisable to introduce more number of vocational training institutes rather than colleges in order to encourage the children coming out from schools. This will help them to be more efficiently skilled and gain experience in the particular field. It is being imparted through Industrial Training Institutes (ITI's) and polytechnics across the country. Once the students achieve vocational training, their main objective for employment is solved. The present world lives on technology and requires an individual to possess a specialization in a particular skill. Then only he is eligible for a good job. With the help of vocational education, an individual can achieve practical knowledge and become specialized which further makes him to become independent and earn his living at a particular age.
The vocational education can be provided for several courses like art, craft, health, administration, technical and many more. It depends on an individual to select a course of his own choice. Vocational education should be made possible even for working people. The timings should be set in such a way that it becomes convenient for them to join the course after the working hours. The vocational institutes should also avail a facility of online studies for students. They should have an option to attend the classes either in the morning or in the evening. The economically weak students should be provided with financial aid. The vocational education training institutes should have faculty who are highly experienced and possess a strong practical knowledge to impart to their students. This helps the students to gain a real life practical experience. Facilities such as internship and stipend to the students should be provided which will motivate them to perform better and excel in their career. The supervision of an expert will help an individual to perform better as they achieve the learning experience from them.
The Government should frame certain rules and regulations to establish a vocational training institute. If the rules laid by the Government are not followed then the recognition of such an organization is said to be cancelled. It is highly essential for a student to satisfy the eligibility criteria made by the training institute. The admission procedure to get into any vocational education institute should be easy and simple. As the technology is changing very rapidly, it is important for the training institutes to update the structure of the course regularly. The vocational education makes the employees ready to perform various tasks at workplace. The students undergoing vocational education are considered to be more specialized and have a chance of employment in comparison with others. Vocational education is considered as an asset to the economy and helps in providing stable jobs for an individual.
