For a lot of students who wish to decide upon their career this question remains hanging upon their head like a dangling knife. Maths or Science, there needs to be at least one subject in which one needs to do above average to look forward towards a promising career. There has been a prevailing notion that if you do not fair well in Maths or Science, making up a career ahead of yourself would be quite challenging. People are clearly biased towards careers based entirely upon Maths and Science. Performing poorly in your Science and Maths might lower your self confidence but this mix is not the sole gateway towards a promising career.
There are a number of professionals who are running great ventures and had flunked someday in their academics. Your performance in an exam cannot genuinely decide your worth. Bloomberg’s top 100 billionaire’s list features a number of names that have never been to school even. A person’s potential lies in their ability to stand firm in the times of difficulty and not in excelling merely in some academic subjects.
If you are not interested in maths or science, still there is a long road ahead of you. Pave your path yourself. There are a number of careers in arts, social sciences and social work, history, photography, travelling and blogging, managing events to performing arts such as dance, music, theatre and drama. Maths and science alone do not make the world go round. There are people who have entirely unconventional and different career prospects. People have a great flair for things that are more connected to the soul and have a direct impact upon our mind such as literature. A career in literature requires just one thing-interest. For that matter every single career that stands ahead of you jus requires your sole interest and will. Maths and science might be dealing with real phenomenon and equations and theories but art is something which adds a genuine hue to life. People and life, everything is plain without the flavor of art.
Apart from art, there is a diverse landscape of careers- marketing and finance is one such field which requires just a typical moneywise bend of the mind. There are just simple mathematical calculations involved; most is based upon economics and business studies. One very basic ingredient to make any career successful is your communication skill. A good blend of communication skills and soft skills makes a great combination for any career.
Career in Journalism and mass media such as photography and direction is another very effluent example of a non science career. There are journalists across the globe who are greatly celebrated for their creative opinions and great speaking skills. You just need to have a flavor for life and the right direction. There is a plethora of opportunities to choose as a career. There is not even the slightest need to feel trampled under the fact that you are not good in Maths or Science. The world is full of opportunities and options. You just have to make the best choice for yourself!
