If women are more educated than men, then she will face less salary and various problems at their workplace. This statement states a recent study and describes this salary discrimination that is a major problem of women because they are also capable to do the same work just like men. Then why they suffer the problem of discrimination, if they are more educated.
Despite the fact that, women are able to earn more than money without receiving any formal education as compared to the men. But, this situation is completely changing in these days while women will continuously increase their education because they want best employment. So, those women with primary education such as highly qualified certifications or diplomas, they earn approx 15% less money than well-qualified male counterparts. But the statistics states that more than 30% women have a master's degree because they want to prove best.
In India, the major reason of this problem is that, the primary responsibility of women is such kind of work which is unpaid and we can say care work. These works are- they look their family and kids, marketing work for their house and so on. These kinds of work are unpaid and those women are not educated so they can easily do these works, but this is not correct thing. These are the normal perceptions of men and everyone. If we can discuss this problem with an example, then along with no education the annual average income of women is approx 1.40 lakh and this record is noted down after the survey. The average annual income of men is 1.25 lakh that is less than women and the difference is around 11.99% so women are able to earn more than men.
The fact is that, if two well-qualified candidates whether it is male or female and they are trying to get a job so companies prefer men over women. A recent study states that, most of the companies give preference and select men instead of women. This kind of discriminations is known as past or indirect discrimination or we can say pre-market.
So, those women who have completed their master's degree and get a job, then they will earn around 2.70 lakh per year. In other words, we can say their annual average income is 2.70 lakh. On the other hand, men will earn more 4.5 lakh annually so the difference is 40.77% and this difference is really very huge. A study explains why this difference occurs and the reason is that, generally women leave their job or not take jobs for various reasons such as motherhood or marriage. They leave their job after training due to these reasons and that's why they earn lower income rather than men. Mostly women break their jobs or do some part time jobs when they need time for their kids care. This is the major responsibility of women to take care of their kids so sometimes they leave or break their jobs. Then, these women return back to their jobs or after some time they are searching a new job so they get a lower package than men because companies want long time employer.
