The dates for Moodi are fixed as 26th -29th December every year.
Popular by the name of Alcher, Alcheringa is one of the most star studded college fests in the country. Touted as the biggest cultural fest of the North East, Alcher is scheduled for 29th Jan – 1st Feb 2015. From KK and Shilpa Rao to Mohit Chauhan and Anoushka Shankar, this fest has seen a number of well known artists perform and enthral the crowds. With more than 70,000 students participating, you just can’t afford to miss this extravaganza!
One of the most awaited college events in the country, Saarang is the annual cultural fest of IIT Madras. Also known as ‘Mardi Gras’, this college fest is the meeting point of different cultures from all across the country. From classical carnatic artists to the rock bands from different parts of the country and abroad, Saarang gives a perfect platform to them all. The previous editions of this college fest have witnessed artists such as Shankar Ehsan Loy and Pandit Birju Maharaj.
First thing first! What makes NIT Suratkal stand out is the fact that it is one of the few very colleges across the world to own a private beach! And they use it to the full extent during their annual college fest, Incident. Events such as beach volleyball and football are some of the biggest attractions of this extravaganza. Incident is widely regarded as the second most outstanding college event in the Southern part of the country.
