With Macaulay's education system we started basic and professional education system in India. The system had teaching methods and strategies irrelevant to India’s old culture that belonged to study and education. This was a modification of some kind. They said it’s for improvement.
About it: There is another perspective of education in the same world where we're still following Macaulay's system. It’s Anarchist education. The system is exactly different from what is in Macaulay's system. Anarchistic free schools are decentralized educational network. Whereas in India we follow Democratic Education where schooling run as direct democracies. In current education system government brings different kind of education schemes and proposals that grasp many news headlines and plans that may seem to bring a change in local and short term goals. But on a large picture these schemes and techniques don't actually fit. Google and Wikipedia are the brands who are cautious about real education in the world and they are pioneering techniques and projects all over the world to make education easy and available to every corner of the world. Let's see how much success these project may attain.
The start: In 19th century's New York a Spanish guy opened a schools of his new innovative idea. This idea was anarchist education. It's a point to be thought upon that how the rapid growth model of education is beneficial for pupils learning and development that may bring change in how our next generation will be taught? Teachers in such free schools are free from bureaucracy and government interference and they have direct approach to learning and techniques that may bring more productive education to pupils.

The motive of exhibition was to show the fact that the real motive of education is to train you for life otherwise there are many examples that show uneducated people have also spent meaningful and worthy lives. If education is just about some certificates that gets you a job, it's really not that worth.
Reality (about what is being done here): In Anarchistic Free School, or simple Free Schools pupils are trained with skills, knowledge and information that is shared without any hierarchy like done in formal schooling. Teachers here support initiatives of children and their creativity which is full of new and meaningful ideas. Intention of the Anarchist schooling is to encourage self-reliance, critical consciousness, and personal development. Schooling here is completely based on student centered education in favor of gift economy. Anarchists like William Godwin, Max Stirner, and Josiah Warren have great contribution in promotion of this kind of education system, who all gave logical and practical ideologies for convincing people about the value of this change that is being tried to bring.
Alternative education or non-traditional education scheme is also a mark of difference in this field, which provides education based on orientation. Civilizations upgrade with time. This 21st century is the time when we need to change our radical education system to a better learning and progressive system.
