A Brief Introduction
A public University located in Hamilton, the University resulted from an outgrowth of educational initiatives undertaken by this Baptists in the 1830s. It was finally founded in 1881 as Toront Baptist College.
It has consistently ranked as the 4th best in Canada and the 92nd in the World by Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
Campus
The campus is located in the Golden Horseshoe along the western Ontario Lake. The main campus is bordered by Cootes Paradise in the north and to the south by Main Street West. The northern boundaries are popular destinations for walkers. The main campus is 152.4 hectares, and the University owns and manages 62 buildings.

Student Facilities
The McMaster University Student Centre (MUSC) contains a
cafe, study space, common areas and a number of administrative departments.
The MUSC contains offices of various student organisations
and campus services such as Campus Health Care and dentist.
It has over 20 dining outlets throughout the campus,
including a number of vegetarian establishments.
