Spread across an area of 922,809 m sq, the University has four campuses in the city:
The premises range from the historic buildings and library at Frue Plads, through the plant world of the Botanical Gardens, to high-technology laboratories and auditoriums and the new eco-friendly Green Lighthouse. University of Copenhagen is working towards becoming one of Europe’s most eco-friendly campus areas.

Accommodation
The University of Copenhagen Housing Foundation (UCPH Housing Foundation) is an independent foundation responsible for helping students and researchers find accommodation in the city.
The foundation is private and independent of the University, but the two work together.
All questions regarding your accommodation should be directed to us: contact@housingfoundation.ku.dk, and not to the University of Copenhagen.
Cost of Living
These are rough estimates of what it costs a single person to live in Copenhagen:
Housing, including utilities: typically DKK 4,500 - 7,000/month
Food and daily expenses: DKK 1,500 - 2,500/month
Books and other study materials: DKK 1,500-2,000/semester
Local public transportation: DKK 600-1,000/month if you travel every day1
Leisure activities: DKK 2,000/month.
* To save money, we recommend that you consider buying a used bicycle, which you can get for around DKK 800-1,500.
Tuition Fees
If you hold a citizenship from outside EU/EEA/Switzerland, you are covered by the rules of tuition fee.
The tuition fee applies per semester and must be paid by 15 April (for autumn semester) and 1 December (for spring semester).
Please note that tuition fees are not refunded once your education has begun. After study start only a failed visa application will result in the refund of your tuition fee.
