Introduction
Founded in 2010, Syddansk Musikkonservatorium (English: Danish National Academy of Music) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the the urban setting of the large town of Odense (population range: 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Region of Southern Denmark.
Academy of Music (SDMK) - Danish National Academy of Music is a higher education institution under the Ministry of Culture, which offers music and music education programs at the highest level. Academy of Music (SDMK) is the result of a merger between the Carl Nielsen Academy and the Academy of Music. Furthermore, it SDMK's task to develop and promote its arts area and the culture associated with them, which include done through artistic and educational development activities.
Campus
This institution has also branch campuses in the following locations: Esbjerg. SDMK housed in Denmark respectively in Odense and Esbjerg. SDMK have physically housed at two addresses in Southern Denmark in Odense and Esbjerg, respectively. SDMK has approximately 260 students with a high percentage of international students, fifty permanent teachers and around 100 associated time teachers. SDMK also has collaboration with among others Café Ørsted where students can perform their music.
