A Brief Introduction

Also known as Zheda, the Zhejiang University is a national University in China. Established in 1897, it is one of the oldest and prestigious institutions for higher education in China. The campus is located in Hangzhou, which is around 112 miles from Shanghai. Its library is one of China’s largest libraries, containing around about 7 million volumes.

Campus

The campus is located in Hangzhou, which is a beautiful, rich and peaceful province of Southeast China. The rich heritage, fine products such as silk and tea are highly renowned of this area. The city was honored as the most beautiful and magnificent city in the world" by the Italian traveler Marco Polo, Hangzhou was the capital of China in the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279).
Zhejiang University has five campuses:

Zijingang Campus	The Zijingang Campus is located at the north-west of the city and just 5 km away from the Yuquan Campus, Zijingang Campus is the main campus of Zhejiang University
Yuquan Campus	Yuquan Campus is located in the northwestern corner of the West Lake, and next to the Plant Park. The total area is over 1,700 mu. There are buildings with areas of 700,000 square meters.
Xixi Campus	The Xixi Campus is located in the Hangzhou High Technology Development Zone, northwest of Hangzhou City. The campus occupies a field of 46 hectares, and there are buildings with areas of total 370,000 square meters.
Huajiachi Campus	The Huajiachi Campus is located in the east side of Hangzhou City. The campus occupies a field of 99 hectares, and there are buildings with areas of 280,000 square meters.
Zhijiang Campus	The Zhijiang Campus is located in the south of Hangzhou City, and near the Qiantangjiang River. At present, School of Guanghua Law is located at the Campus.

Accommodation
The Foreign Experts and Overseas Students Service Center of Zhejiang University is the body which takes care of providing as accommodation, food and drink, management of the classrooms within the building of the International College etc. Its main office is on the 4th floor in the International College Building on Yuquan Campus. Students residing in school dormitories are required to observe observe Regulations on International Students Dormitory Management. Anyone who violates the regulations shall be penalized accordingly. Fees
All the fees should be paid in RMB yuan. If for some special reasons, fees are remitted to the university in US dollars, they should be settled according to the exchange rates between RMB and US dollar of the day of remittance. Students shall make up the difference of the remittance due to possible exchange rate changes upon their arrival at the university. Fee is set according to the chosen course of study.
