Campus
The campus is located in the Haidian district in the Northwest of Beijing. This district is known for universities and other academic institutes.
The campus, located on the former site of Qing Dynasty royal gardens retains till date Chinese style landscaping and traditional buildings, but also has several Western-style buildings.
The University is known to have one of the world’s most beautiful campuses. In 2010, the campus was named one of the most beautiful college campuses in the world by a panel of architects and campus designers in Forbes.
The University's Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology is on a separate campus in a northern suburb of Beijing.
Courses
In the academic year 2016-2017, Tsinghua University is to offer 39 Bachelor’s programs, 99 Master’s programs and 82 doctoral programs for international students. 14 of the total Master’s degrees will be in English.
Moreover, nearly 300 English-taught courses are open to the visiting/exchange students.
Student facilities
The service facilities help making the student life very convenient. An on-campus shopping center is located at Zhaolanyuan, where one can find banks, post office, super-market, bookstores, fruit and vegetable market, photo studios, restaurants, the barber's, laundries, etc. All kinds of services are also provided in the living area of students.
Accommodation
ON-CAMPUS ACCOMMODATION
The Zijing International Student Apartments of Tsinghua University provide three types of dormitory rooms to the international students:
- Single room (private bedroom and bathroom), RMB 80/day
- AB room (private bedroom, shared bathroom), RMB 80/day/person
- Double room (two beds in one room, shared bathrooms on each floor): RMB 40/day/person.
- Included in each room are bedclothes, air-conditioner, telephone, color TV, Internet access and furniture.
The apartments can accommodate around 2000 international students. Since there are limited, new students who have received the Admission Notice of Tsinghua University need to book the rooms in advance, following the date, time and procedure specified in the Instructions of International Students Dormitory Application System of Tsinghua University which is sent out by ISO to you together with the admission materials package.
OFF-CAMPUS ACCOMMODATION
For those who have not been able to secure on campus apartments, the off campus accommodation must be arranged will in advance. The University does not recommend off-campus housing information and housing agencies for your off-campus accommodation.
According to the experiences of our international students, many of them prefer to live in the apartments near the campus, such as Huaqing Jiayuan and Dongsheng Yuan, etc. Some students choose to live far from the campus, because the rents might be much lower.

Fees
One of the best benefits of studying in China is the low tuition rates of their universities. Tuition fees are different according to the programs you choose.
Scholarships
The University offers four scholarships to international students: Chinese Government Scholarship, Beijing Government Scholarship, Tsinghua University Scholarship, and Confucius Institute Scholarship. These are mostly full scholarships and are and open to both the degree program students (undergraduate and graduate) and the visiting/exchange students. The Beijing Government Scholarship and Tsinghua University Scholarship are tuition scholarships and open to the degree program students.

Counseling services
The Student Career Development Center of Tsinghua University is responsible for serving and helping students with all their career planning, developments, providing talent-training courses, and collecting and publishing information on the job vacancies for University graduates, organizing recruiting events and offering counseling and guidance. These are all available to the international students.
In the schools and departments, career counseling is also served, and the information about job opportunities in the related fields of the society is provided.
The Center is located in the south part of the newly built Qingfen Yuan dining hall.
