Officially known as the Republic of Ireland, Ireland is the third largest island in Europe. It is surrounded by hundreds of other smaller islands close by. It lies to the northwest side of Europe, lying close to Britain. Known for is great scenic beauty and relatively untouched lands which make great points for nature lovers, Ireland is a perfect blend of old culture and modernisation. Acceptance letter from a University of your choice : While applying for a student visa, you must provide them with a confirmation of admissions. Since this in itself is a long procedure, we suggest you begin applying at least six months prior to the commencement of the academic session. Choose an appropriate institution, course and degree program of your choice.

Student Visa – What How and Where
1.Visa and Student Authorisation Procedure
You must send your complete documents along with your Student Visa application to the Immigration section of the High Commission of Ireland. Please note that the documents you provide should either be originals or notarized photocopies of the same, along with duplicate copies.
2.Documents Required :
- Completed Student Application form.
- Completed Supplementary Questionnaire for students and postdoctoral researchers.
- Official letter of acceptance from university of Ireland, college or Technical Institute.
- TOEFL/IELTS scores if applicable
- Two photographs on matt paper of a specific size
- Acceptance letter from the college
- Birth certificate or notarized affidavit for the date of birth
- School/college certificates and mark sheets
- Employment letter showing duration of work
- Proof of current activity
- Proof of full payment for tuition fees (or student loan declaration)
- Evidence that fees have been paid
- Passport which is valid for at least six months after the course will end
- Proof of availability of living funds.
- Proof of private medical insurance.
- Ensure your passport is valid for 12 months
- An agreement stating that you intend to return to your home country upon finishing your course in Ireland.
- Bank Draft for the applicable visa processing fees.
- You must have a clean criminal record.
NOTE. Although fees vary depending on your country of origin, standard visa application processing fees are:
- For a single-entry visa- €60 (US$80)
- For multiple entries-€100 (US$135)
3.Evidence of Funds :
To prove you have sufficient financial resources available, you must provide some documentation. You need to prove you have at least 7,000 pounds living funds for the initial part of your study. However, if you plan to study for more than a year, you need to provide an evidence of further 7,000£ per year.
Students from other parts of the world other than EU/EEA/Switzerland, the tuition fee may vary depending on the institution and course.
Expected prices are:
- Medicine and related subjects – 31,000 – 50,000£ a year.
- Engineering, Science and Technology – 10,000 – 21,600£ a year.
- Business, Arts and Humanities – 10,000 – 16,500£ a year.
You need to provide a detailed statement of your bank account of six months prior to your visa application

Provide confirmation of a scholarship
Non-EEA students who stay for less than 6 months must have 600€ or 300€ per month .
4.Interview:
An interview with a Visa Officer may take place. You shall receive prior notification regarding the same. Questions asked will be only related to the rules and regulations of Ireland to test your adjustability.
5.Medical Examination:
According to the instructions of the High Commission of Ireland, you will have to undergo a medical test.
If you are found fit and up to the mark, a Visa will be issued.
6.Points to Consider:
- If your course isn’t listed on the International Register, you will get a stamp 2A on your passport. You will not be able to work during your studies in Ireland.
- If you leave Ireland during your course of study, you will have to re-apply for a visa.
- Northern Ireland is part of UK and the regulations for student visa are different.
