Educational technology is defined by the Association for Educational Communications and Technology as "the study and ethical practice of facilitating learning and improving performance by creating, using, and managing appropriate technological processes and resources. Technology in education and technology of education are two different concepts which deal with the use of technological tools and innovative educational strategies respectively. Technology education is the study of technology, in which students "learn about the processes and knowledge related to technology". As a field of study, it covers the human ability to shape and change the physical world to meet needs, by manipulating materials and tools with techniques.
