Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday focused on the
students appearing in the final examinations. He asked the students to consider
examinations as festival and they should refrain from the short cuts like
cheating etc.
In his address to the nation through ‘Mann ki Baat’ the
Prime Minister said that “for students relaxation is the best medicine for
memory recall”. He urged the youth to spread the stories of valor of the Indian
soldiers on social media, who have won the gallantry awards.
He said the examinations should be treated as occasion of
happiness for the entire family instead of a cause of tension.
“For many exams are pressure and for some exams are
pleasure, it is for you to choose between pleasure and pressure”.
The Prime Minister asked the parents to create an atmosphere
of festivities during examinations. He added “those who take examinations as
pleasure will score more than those who take it as a pressure”.
He also said that in order to have a good memory recall
students should take proper rest and relax. “When you are in tension, all doors
gets closed, it becomes a baggage for you”.
Smile More, Score More, A Happy mind is the secret of good
scoring”.
He urged the students to compete with themselves and not
with others. Exams are not the benchmark of success. He also gave the example
of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar in this regard.
