Due to curfew and disruption in normal life in Srinagar, CBSE is making interim arrangements for students by engaging retire teachers for teaching the students of class 12th.
With winters approaching fast schools in Srinagar are left with a limited opportunity of teaching to complete the syllabus by October 2016 for students who have to appear in class 12th board exams in March 2017.
"Taking suo moto cognisance of the requests received from the schools, the board has decided to arrange for subject teachers for all five schools in the valley which may take help after assessing respective need," read a statement issued by Ministry of HRD.
It further stated, "The board is making efforts to engage and depute retired teachers from other parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Pathankot, Chandigarh and has even written to Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan for the same till the resumption of regular classes again."
