With the aim to promote the ancient language, Sanskrit, in Haryana, a university devoted especially to the language will be established at Mundri in Kaithal district. This announcement was made by the Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
On the occasion of centenary celebration of Gurukul Indraprastha, Khattar said, "a government recognized Sanskrit Gurukul College would be set up at Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Complex in Panchkula. He also announced providing Rs 21 lakh to Indraprastha Gurukul and Rs 5 lakh to Chandan Devi Gurukul, Pillukhera, Jind from his discretionary fund."
Reminding Haryana about the history of Indraprastha Gurukul he said," it has been the center for the revolutionists like Subhas Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Ashfaqullah Khan, Sukhdev and Rajguru where they used to conduct various revolutionary activities."
Khattar also announced," renaming the Sarai Khawaja to Gurukul road as Swami Shradhanand Marg."
