The number of Iranian research scholars is
to be increased at Punjab University (PU), a desire expressed by Iran Embassy
on Wednesday after the delegation of Iran Embassy visited PU on Wednesday and
met the PU vice-chancellor Prof Arun Kumar Grover. It was led by the research
counsellor Dr Seyed Mohammad Reza Khalili.
Dr Khalili remarkably mentioned that PU is
considered as an important seat of education for international students to grow
and develop their knowledge in science and education by Iran Embassy.
Opportunities of collaboration with PU were
discussed by Dr Khalili in the meeting through short visits by Iranian
students, research scholars, joint seminars and faculty exchange program.
The prospects of increasing Iranian collaboration
with PU in the field of science and research were discussed by the delegation.
Dr Khalili is new to the Embassy as he has recently joined. He is also looking
after the educational and scientific affairs of the Government of the Islamic
Republic of Iran in India.
