There is good news for the candidates who have appeared in the exam for teaching job under Punjab Government. High court of Punjab and Haryana issued an ordered to Punjab Education Department for issuing the Offer Letter to the candidates.
The vacancy was published in 2011 for the post of Hindi and Science teaching posts. When the result was declared some students were put on hold under waiting list.
The Govt. of Punjab has appointed 31 candidates for the post of Hindi teacher and for the post of science teacher 10 candidates were shortlisted. When the result was first declared, they were given an appointment letter but put on a waiting list. This decision was challenged by candidates who were not considered despite being similarly placed.

The grievance petition was signed by eight candidates. A large number of posts for Hindi and science masters remained vacant. Multiple candidates were selected for more than one posts resulting in confusion and many posts remaining vacant.
After Secretary and the minister gave order to Education Department of Punjab, it offered appointment letters to 31 candidates for the post of Hindi masters and 10 candidates for the post of Science masters.Astoundingly rest of the waiting list was abolished without a reason.
Justice GS Sandhawalia has ordered the government to issue appointment letters within three months to all those names were there in the waiting list.
According to one of the counsels HC Arora, "The judgment gives a relief to 29 candidates who were in the waiting list for science masters and 12 for Hindi masters."
