The Bandra Kurla Complex police has arrested three person for their involvement in the tampering of the answer sheets of the Mumbai University exams. The incident came to light when the head of the department (HOD) received an anonymous letter about the scam. The Police that one of the HODs at the Garware institute came to police station with the letter. The police then registered the case and arrested three person. One of them is a student and other three are officials.
“After registering the case, the police officials started scrutinising theCCTV footage, following which we could see the three loitering in theroom after college hours,” said an officer.
The investigators interrogated the institute officials and upon interrogation they revealed the name of the third accused. “The two institute officials were arrested on Monday night, while the student was nabbed on Tuesday morning,” said an official.
It was learned that Nizamuddin had asked the officials to tamper with the answer sheets for him. “The trio went to the room on October 8 after the examination around 7.30 pm and could seen exiting the building around 9.30 pm,” said an officer.
