As yogi Adityanath was addressing a gathering on the occasion of 126th birth anniversary of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar, he urged the schools not to observe holidays on the birth anniversary of famous personalities and instead children should be taught more about them.
He said "There should be no holidays in schools on birth anniversaries of great personalities. Instead special two-hour program should be held to teach students about them."
Children should be taught about the tradition of the personalities and all the good and contribution they have done for the country. On the same occasion he also made an announcement about government providing the uniforms, copies and books to the students.
"There will be no discrimination and injustice in this government rule. Government is committed to security of 22 crore people of the state and no one will be allowed to flout law," Adityanath added.
Paying homage to the father of Indian Constitution, the Chief Minister said that Ambedkar was against 'playing politics' at the cost of country's prosperity. UP Governer Ram Naik also addressed the gathering and said that there are 42 holidays in UP, out which at least 17 are related to the birth anniversaries of the famous personalities.
