The institutes are in Amritsar, Bodh Gaya, Nagpur, Sambalpur, Sirmaur, Vishakhapatnam and Jammu. Each of these institutes will be constructed on 60,384 sq. Meter area with the complete infrastructural facilities for the students.
Recurring grants have also been approved for these institutes which will be INR 5 lakh per student per year for the five years. After this, the institutes are expected to meet their running cost from the internal funds generation. The construction of the new campuses is expected to complete by 2021 and with this all the 20 IIMs will have their own campuses.
