The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the NEET 2018 results and the cut-off for the general category stands-off at 50% and for the other category it is 40%.
This year, more than 6 lakh students get the marks in the range of 691 to 119 and others scored less than 118 marks. This year’s topper is Kalpana Kumai, who scored 171 out of 180 in physics, 160 out of 180 in Chemistry, 360 out of 360 in Biology (Biology and Zoology). Overall her grand total is 691 out of 720.
More than 13 lakh candidates have appeared for the NEET 2018 exam and can check their scores by visiting the official website of the NEET. The CBSE had conducted the exam on May 6, 2018 and released the answer keys on May 25 and were given a chance to raise the objections until may 27.
NEET 2018 exam cut-offs
- UR: 50th percentile (691 – 119) – 634,987 candidates
- OBC: 40th percentile (118 – 96) – 54653 candidates
- SC: 40th percentile (118 – 96) – 17209 candidates
- ST: 40th percentile (118 – 96) – 7446 candidates
- UR-PH: 45th percentile (118 – 107) – 205 candidates
- OBC-PH: 40th percentile (106 – 96) – 104 candidates
- SC-PH: 40th percentile (106 – 96) – 36 candidates
- ST-PH: 40th percentile (106-96) – 12 candidate
All India Merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidates.
CBSE conducts the NEET UG exam in order to determine the eligibility of the candidates for admissions in various medical and dental college run with approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India.
