Students of Mumbai will probaily going to have good news very soon. University of Mumbai soon going to add 28 new colleges in city this year.
An Official from Department of Higher and Technical Education stated that 28 colleges have been short listed. They have forwarded the proposal for shortlisted colleges to state Government.
Though, there is nothing has been finalized yet. The final verdict will be expected by the end of this month.
On asking by when the courses will be commencing, an official from University of Mumbai put in the picture "It would be difficult to start courses at the colleges from the current academic session." He also said that very soon they will going to start the one.
Since the admissions to various courses are now completed and the classes have already begun from 4th July, so there would not be enough time to admit students for the new colleges
