As Mumbai University claimed that they have successfully declared the results of all students, several students claimed that the university is still keeping their results in reserve. Some other students claimed that there were mistakes in their mark sheets due to which they could not apply for higher studies.
Amey Malshe, a LLB student who launched a hunger strike against the university said 'even as his result was declared, there was discrepancy in the mark sheet and the statement issued from the college'.
“The marks are different on the mark sheet and the statement I received from my college. Some of my friends have also found errors in their marks. Others are yet to get their results,” said Malshe.
Rajendra Bhat is another law student whose result is being held in reserve by the University. He said 'We had approached the university last week and the authorities assured us that the results will be out in six days. But till now, my result is in reserve. Since the university is shut for Diwali, there is nothing we can do now. We will approach the authorities again Monday'.
A media student also told the reporters that some results were out, but there is no clarity on the admissions in the post-graduate courses. 'There is a lot of confusion. The dates were extended but most seats are already occupied,' he said.
The authorities from the university said that all the withheld results have been declared however, some re-evaluation applications are still pending.
