From next semester, students of Mumbai University will be able to access their marks on the same day as of the declaration of the result. As a part of host of reforms in the examination section of the university, the Board of Examination (BoE) has decided to declare the marks of the students on the same day as that of the result.
Earlier, students only had the provision to see if they are passed or fail in the exams and to check the marks they have to rush to the college.
On Thursday, Arjun Ghatule, the Acting Director, Board of Examinations and Evaluation, said "from the next semester, students would be able to log on to the website of the university and see their marks in each subject immediately after they are declared."
Following the plunder happened in declaring the results of the summer semester, the BoE has brought up a number of changes to streamline the entire process.
Ghatule said "the BoE has finally prepared a master database of assessors, courses, examinations, subjects and credits and the linkages have been streamlined. Last time, assessors had complained saying they could not log in or were tagged to wrong answer sheets. We have already tested the system and the bugs have been fixed".
“The answer sheets will reach the CAP centers within three days of the examination and scanned by the fifth day. They will be checked and counted at three stages. There will be no issue of delay or misplacement as answer sheets will be reconciled,” said Ghatule.
