In a statement, Ministry of Science & Technology said that Luckow city will host the fourth edition of the India International Science Festival and the exact dates and other details regarding the festival will be decided later.
The decision regarding the same was taken during the first preparatory meeting for the 4th India International Science Festival (IISF). The meeting was chaired by the Union Minister for Science & Technology, Environment, Forest & Climate Change and Earth Sciences, Dr. Harsh Vardhan.
The meeting, among others, was also attended by the Officials of Ministries of Science and Technology, Earth Sciences and DG, CSIR and representatives of Vijnana Bharti (VIBHA), the partner organization for the festival.
The first IISF was hosted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) New Delhi in December 2015 which attracted more than 3 lakh people. During the first IISF, India also set a Guinness Book of World Records when more than 2000 school students gathered to perform two experiments.
