The official notification for the Joint Entrance Exam was released on January 26 on the official website-- jeeadv.ac.in. According to the official notification, the exam is scheduled to be held on May 20 in computer based test mode.
The scores obtained by the candidates in the exam will be used to determine the eligibility of the candidates into various undergraduate courses offered by the IITs and other centrally funded institutions.
The exam will be conducted by the seven zonal coordinating IITs.

- B.Tech: 4 years
- BS (Bachelor of Science): 4 years
- BArch: 5 years
- Dual degree BTech-MTech: 5 years
- Dual degree BS-MS: 5 years
- Integrated MTech: 5 years
- Integrated MSc: 5 years
Educational qualification
- Aspirants should have passed the class 12 exams for the first time either in 2017 or 2018.
- Their rank should be among the top 2,24,000 in paper 1 (JEE Mains) 2018.
Age limit: Aspirant should have born on or after October 1, 1993.
Exam pattern
There are two compulsory papers:
- Paper I: 9 am to 12 pm
- Paper II: 2 pm to 5 pm
Total attempts
Aspirants are allowed to attempt JEE (Advanced) a maximum of two times in two consecutive years.
