The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)-India will be conducting the Joint CSIR UGC NET Exam 2016 on December 18, 2016.

Paper pattern:
The examination will comprise of questions from the following subjects:
- Chemical Sciences
- Earth
- Atmospheric
- Ocean and Planetary Sciences
- Life Sciences
- Mathematical Sciences
- Physical Sciences
Three parts of the question paper
Part A: This part shall contain questions pertaining to General Aptitude with emphasis on logical reasoning, graphical analysis, analytical and numerical ability, quantitative comparison, series formation, puzzles etc.
Part B: This part shall contain subject-related conventional Multiple Choice questions (MCQs).
Part C: This part shall contain higher value questions that may test the candidate's knowledge of scientific concepts and/or application of the scientific concepts.
Duration of exam will be 3 hours
Examination sessions
Morning session: 9 am to 12 pm
Afternoon session: 2 pm to 5 pm
