It seems that Indian Army is pursuing its role as a savior
outside the battle field as well as it announced that it has been organizing
free tuitions classes for needy students in north Kashmir's Baramulla district.
A defence spokesperson said that it's an initiative by the
army to establish a meaningful connect with the youth. It is organizing free
tuition classes for needy students of Class X to XII at various schools of
Baramulla district.
The purpose is clear i.e. to provide free education to needy
children by conducting tuition classes and to create better opportunities for
the youth.
Major General Jai Singh Nain, Major General Jai Singh Nain
said that children should dream big and asked parents and teachers to look for
the overall development of students making them better citizens of the country.
In the light of the criticism that the Indian Army often faces for unleashing atrocities in insurgency prone areas such as Kashmir, the move to provide free tuition to young students is laudable indeed.
