Hoard for taking admission in top schools of Mumbai is on the rise and for this two year old kids are going to coaching classes for preparing for the interview and parents are spending lakhs of rupees for sending their kids to these coaching classes.
The ironic thing is that these kids are going to coaching classes from couple of years. No matter what, the fact remains, it is illegal to interview kids for school admission.
How these classes take place?
- According to reports, the classes are held like some mob meeting under the radar. They are not advertised openly but everybody knows about them and there is a huge demand as well.
- Teachers very cleverly called these classes as GK classes or conversation classes.
- They can call it whatever they want, there is no doubt that these classes create mental pressure on kids and parents seem ignorant about the psychological conditions and learning capabilities of their kids at such tender age.
- And not to mention, getting admission in these classes is way tougher than getting admission in reputed school.
Interviewing kids is illegal
In a clever move, schools call these sessions as "child interaction session" or "child observation session."As per the guidelines issued by the government it is illegal for the schools to interview children for admission purpose.
