Delhi high court has allowed 298 private schools to carry out their nursery admission process but said that "it will be subject to the final outcome of the city government's appeal on the issue."
A bench of Chief Justice G Rohini and Justice Sangita Dhingra Sehgal was hearing the Delhi's government appeal and said that "the entire process to admit children will be subject to the final outcome of the matter."
The bench said "Having regard to the fact that the admission process is already been in operation, it would not be proper to stop it. We, however, make it clear that whatever steps have been taken by the parties will be subject to the final outcome of the appeal that is pending."
The bench also said that "We will examine the issue. Meanwhile, a copy of the petition be served on the respondents (including two school associations and the parents)."
The bench is also seeking the response of the two schools and the parents on the Delhi's government appeal regarding the same.
