Once again girls repeated the history in CBSE class 12 results as they had outshined boys this year as well. The pass percentage for the girls this year stood at 87.50 percent in contrast to the boys, where pass percentage stood at 78 percent.
This year girls remain ahead of boys with a difference of 9.5 percent.
Overall dip in the pass percentage
Last year also girls outshined the boys with overall pass percentage of 88.58 percent while the pass percentage for the boys stood at 78.85 percent. This year there is an overall dip in the pass percentage of 1.05 percent.
All the students who had appeared for the exams can visit the sites- cbse.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in and results.nic.in for checking their results.The exams for class 12 were conducted by the board from March 9 to April 29.
Top three rankers
Raksha Gopal from Amity International School, Noida has secured the first position in the nation with a total of 99.6 percent marks. The second position is secure by Bhumi Sawant De from DAV Chandigarh with 99.4 percent marks Aditya Jain with a total of 99.2 percent marks from Bhawan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh is a third rank holder.
Marks re-evaluation
The re-evaluation of the marks will be done by the CBSE but only in the following subjects:
- English Core
- English Elective (NCERT)
- English Elective (CBSE)
- Hindi Core
- Hindi Elective
- Math
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Biology
- Business Studies
- Economics
- Accountancy
This year, total number of candidates appeared for the class 12 board exam were 10,98,420. The results for class 10 are expected to be out by June 2. This year a total number of 2,497 candidates registered for class 10 exam under the disability category.
