With seats still remaining vacant at the DU, the university will declare three more cut-offs for admitting students to undergraduate course for the session 2016-17.
When the lists will be declared?
The university will release its sixth cut off list on Saturday, August 20. The admission process for the sixth cut off list will be conducted till August 22.
The university will declare the seventh cut-off lists on August 24 and the admissions will be conducted till August 26. The eight cut-off list will come on August 29 and admissions under this cut-off will be completed on August 30.
Why more cut-offs this year?
- Earlier, the university announced that it will only declare five cut-off lists and the admission for the remaining seats will be done on the basis of merit system. The admissions under the fifth cut-off list got over on July 22.
- The admissions on the vacant seats were done after the fifth cut-off, on the basis of the merit system. The students who are already registered need to apply again for vacant seats, followed by which a merit list will be brought out by the college.
A university official said, "We are restarting the cut-off system for admissions. Many students have withdrawn admissions due to which there are vacant seats in different in many colleges. There will be three cut-offs."
