Fifth cut-off list for admissions in various colleges of the nation's prestigious Delhi University was released yesterday. Students who couldn't clear the cutoffs in the previous lists now have the last shot on securing admissions for courses in which seats are yet to be filled.
According the notification by the University, only five cutoff lists will be displayed for admissions. Seats in various colleges for courses of various disciplines still remain vacant as the fifth cutoff list was displayed. As per the fifth cutoff list:
Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) and Lady Shri Ram College for Women still have seats remaining for various courses. SRCC is has displayed cutoff for seats in Economics (hons) in the fifth list at 97.25%.
Ramjas College has vacant seats for most courses, displayed fifth cutoff list. The college had kept the highest cutoff at 99.25 % for B.Com (hons).
Botany (hons) is offered in 18 of the DU colleges and after the fourth cutoff list, seats are available only in two colleges. Whereas, in English (hons) seats are available in 28 colleges. It had received the maximum number of applications this year for admissions.
Hansraj, Hindu and Kirorimal colleges have the percentage in the cut-off range of 94.5-96 per cent in the fifth list.
According to the guidelines, if the seats remain vacant after the admission procedure of fifth list is wrapped up, colleges will release their separate merit list and admissions will be done accordingly.
