On May 7, 2017, CBSE successfully conducted the NEET exam in 10 languages namely; English, Hindi, Tamil, Telegu, Marathi, Bengali, Assamese, Gujarati, Oriya and Kannada. The last two languages were added this year and from next year the will also held in URDU along with the other languages mentioned.
The exam consisted of 180 question which carried 720 marks in total and question from subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Biology were asked. The exam included 45 questions from Physics and Chemistry each and 90 questions from Biology. Each question had 4 choices with only one option correct.
Exam analysis:
Physics:
Physics is one of the toughest subjects of the paper. This year exam was of moderate level but was little tough from the previous year exam.
The weightage in question in Physics section was slightly imbalance and questions 24 and 21 were from class 11 and class 12 respectively.

- 19 questions from Mechanics
- 5 from Thermodynamics and Kinetic Theory
- 9 from Electrodynamics
- 5 from Optics and Wave Optics
- 7 from Modern Physics
Chemistry
This year chemistry exam was moderate however, there were many questions which were conceptualized and based on application. In set R of the question paper, question no 87 did not have any correct option.

- 12 questions from Physical Chemistry
- 14 from Organic Chemistry
- 12 from Inorganic Chemistry
- 4 questions from General Chemistry
Biology
Compared to last year bio section this year bio section was slightly tough. Question number 44 and 46 were from the class 11 and class 12 textbooks and weightage in bio section was balanced.

- 7 from biology and human welfare
- 4 from biotechnology
- 9 from ecology
- 11 from diversity in living organisms
- 7 from structural organization in plants and animals
- 7 from cell structure and function
- 6 from plant physiology
- 13 from human physiology.
