One of the best known IT companies in the world, Dell formally announced its association with IIT Madras for the purpose of research and development in the field of Next-gen infrastructure and cloud technologies.
Dell's major aim behind this collaboration is to grasp the available resources at its Chennai based talent ecosystem and networking centre. The outcomes of this collaboration are expected to be of great assistance in the field of Healthcare and Telecom. The agreement also includes sponsoring and funding of various research based projects that fall in line with the objectives of Dell Research. For IIT-M, this collaboration gives an opportunity to the students to intern with Dell and gain industry experience while working on a number of prevailing challenges in technology.
Making a formal announcement about the collaboration, Dell's Head of Research and Chief Research Officer, Dr Jai Menon remarked "Dell's heritage is all about listening to customers and using that insight to create innovative technology solutions that help them succeed.
