For the next academic session, students studying in classes 9 to 12 will study a rationalized curriculum as the COVID-19 outbreak as disrupted the academic session. According to PTI, CBSE is considering rationalizing the syllabus for classes 9 to 12.
A CBSE official said that syllabus in these will be rationalized to make up for the time lost due to COVID-19 and NCERT will take a call on the reduction as it did in case of classes 1 to 8.
Currently, the board is assessing the situation and will take a call accordingly.
Earlier, the board has decided to promote the students in class 9 and 11 on the basis of internal assessment. "It has come to our notice that though several schools affiliated to CBSE have completed their examination, evaluation and promotion process for students who were studying in grades 9 and 11 in the 2019-20 academic session, there are several schools that have not been able to do so," CBSE said in a statement.
According to the reports, CBSE has started conducting classes for class 10 students in online mode.
