The official notification for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2018 exam has been released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
The exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 6 and the last date to submit the application forms is March 7.
The exam will be conducted in Hindi, English, Urdu, Gujarati, Marathi, Oriya, Bengali, Assamese, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. The exam is conducted to determine the eligibility of the candidates for the MBBS/BDS courses offered by the colleges approved by the Medical Council of India/ Dental Council of India.
Like the last year, the candidate's age for appearing in the exam has to be over 17 years and less than or 25 years.
Educational qualification
Candidates interested in the exam must have completed class 12 or equivalent exam with physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained minimum 50 percent aggregate marks in physics, chemistry and biology/biotechnology at the qualifying examination.
Exam pattern
The exam will have objective questions from physics, chemistry and biology (botany and zoology). The total number of questions will be 180. The duration of paper would be three hours from 10 am to 1 pm.
