CBSE has
clarified its stance on the pending class 10 and class 12 exams. The board has
been receiving queries regarding the same regularly. "Recently there has
been a lot of speculation regarding 10th CBSE Board exams. It is reiterated
that the board's decision to take board exams for 29 subjects of class 10 and
12, stands the same as mentioned in circular dated 1.4.20," says a tweet
posted by the Board on its official Twitter handle.
The board has
also released a detailed circular regarding the pending the exams and said that
the exams will be held as mentioned in the circular.
CBSE
clarified that it will conduct the exams for only crucial subjects which are
required for admissions in higher studies. The exams for the optional subjects
will not be conducted however, the board will issue instructions regarding the
assessments of students in such subjects in due time.
Meanwhile,
Manish Sisodia, in a meeting said that CBSE should cancel all the pending exams
in the best interest of the students.
