CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has invited applications from the students enrolled in schools in colleges as part of the Central Scheme for Scholarships. As the notification rolled out by the board, the online application for this year̢s scholarship apart from the renewal of 2015 scholarship would be made available on the National e-Scholarship Portal, which is http://www.scholarships.gov.in/login.do.
The official notice from the CBSE said, "Students may visit the National e-Scholarship Portal to apply for fresh and renewal of scholarship. Last date for submission of online application is September 30.̢
The board also made clear that all the students willing to apply for this scholarship would need to seed their bank accounts with their Aadhar numbers in order to ensure that the process of disbursal of scholarship amount is seamless and without any hassles.
As per the available information, the scholarship would be granted to 82,000 fresh students which would include 41,000 boys and 41,000 girls. The last date to registration for the scheme is 30th September.
