Keeping in mind the health of the candidates (diabetic) who will be appearing for the JEE Mains exam next year, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced some exceptions for the same.
All the diabetic patients will be allowed to carry sugar, fruits such as banana, apple and orange along with the water bottles (transparent) inside the examination hall but aspirants are not allowed to carry packaged drinking water and food item such as candies and chocolates inside the hall.
The JEE main 2018 exam is scheduled for April 8, 2018 and will be held in offline mode in pen-paper mode.
About the exam
JEE exam is conducted by CBSE to determine the eligibility of the candidates for admissions to undergraduate courses NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions etc.
Selection procedure for IIT
All the candidates who successfully clears the Mains exam is eligible to sit in the JEE Advanced exam and selection in IIT is done on the basis two written exams.

CBSE was established in 1962 and affiliates all Kendriya Vidyalayas, all Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, private schools and most of the schools approved by central government of India.
