Consistency, not just in work life, it does matter in anything you do. Consistency matters to employees to be a good performer. They don't believe in receiving high or low score than the expectations which their bosses have from them. Similarly, when employees receive inconsistent performance reviews, you're more likely to receive inconsistent work from them.
As a professional, your responsibility is to perform consistently & be productive to the organization. We should have Consistency in what we do. Being consistent is realistic & achievable. If we understand to be consistent in our daily work, we can easily manage our daily work which leads to better performance.
What we need to do is, adopt and maintain a Consistent Strategy. Track your work, What You Do Everyday & analyze it. If you don't maintain a level of consistency in what you do, you will never be able to make the progress and achieve the results you desire. Even the best business plans will fail without a dedication to consistency. Consistency is the difference between failure and success. Consistency creates accountability. You are answerable for your work to your superiors. Consistency in your leadership serves as a model for how others will behave.
Students who do well in school tend to be characterized by consistent performance. Such students turn their homework in on time, use effective study strategies, and produce work of a sufficient quality.
What you need to do is evaluate everyday how many times you failed, how to improve it & where you were right. This will support you to be consistent in your life.
