Writing is a kind of rare talent that not everybody possesses. It takes someone to think deeply and intrinsically to write about something in a way that attracts readers. For a writer, especially for those children who aspire to be a published writer, it is often a hard and cumbersome task to publish their stories. They sometimes don’t find the platform where they can publish their stories. Pearson India, a global leader in education sector, has provided an opportunity for children to publish stories through My Pedia reader, and one of the best things about this initiative is that these stories are written by children for children. My Pedia reader is the platform where children can show creativity in writing. To express themselves some children adopt acting, some painting or drawing and some adopt writing. Writing is not an easy task as it is thought to be. To weave the words in a meaning one has to have this talent; writing.
Stories have always inspired millennial and with the right platform they can reach to many. Having this in mind, Pearson India organized My Pedia event where children got the opportunity to narrate their stories. They also knew and understood about the art and craft of story writing. Some of the best stories have been published in My Pedia reader. Seeing their stories published in My Pedia reader has given immense boost to those children who really want to be a writer. My Pedia reader has given a path to children for story publishing, but the road is long ahead and we hope we will be with you always to enhance your creativity and talent.
The message and the story they want to tell through their writings should reach around the world to every reader. That is the success for a writer. But not everyone can be a writer and it is not an easy dream to get published also. Even J.K Rowling got rejected many times by publishers for her’ Harry Potter book’. Every famous writer, perhaps gets rejected once or twice in their life or it could be many.
The meaningful and heartfelt words can sprout in anyone’s mind that could make them a writer. One of the famous child writers is Anne Frank, who wrote her experiences when she was in ghetto in ‘The Diary of a Young Girl’, the famous book. Though she is often called a diarist.
Getting published is a hard lane but not for children this time! Pearson India has recently launched a campaign for children ‘My Pedia Reader Story Book at My Pedia Event. The story book is for children, though anyone can read, where stories are also written by children. In simple words we can say a story book for children by children. It is one of the great opportunities for those children who have writing spark in themselves, who are small in age but vast and broad in thinking. They have their story published in My Pedia Reader Story Book. And it is a dream comes true for them.
As told by Pearson India’s vice president of product and innovation, Ujjwal Singh that it is the opportunity for young creative minds, a platform where they can get published. But it is not about only publishing a story or getting published, it is more about children’s growth and improvement; for those who aspire to be a writer where they can enhance themselves more creatively.
He said that young ones have many things in their mind going on and they often write in a diary about those things; those who want to. For them, Pearson India has given them a platform in the form of a story book and it all happened at My Pedia Media event on 29th November 2017. It is a campaign to bring awareness to the My Pedia Reader storybook. Those children who attended the event got interviewed and said about their experiences. They told about how much they like this event and especially about the opportunity they have got to explore and improve themselves more as a writer. An exposure that not many get. Though those children who got published are not getting Booker! But they are definitely getting a platform and it is the most important event in their life. Pearson India is always ahead with children not just for their education but for their improvement in their craft.
