The fourth International Hindi Conference will be held in the the port city of Visakhapatnam from January 6 to January 8 for developing a link among language experts around the world. The conference will be inaugurated on January 6 by Andhra Pradesh Governor E S L Narasimhan in the presence of  Union Human Resources Development Minister Prakash Javadekar.

For the first time, the Hindi conference is held outside the USA and  jointly organized by Hindi Sangam Foundation, (New Jersey and New Delhi) and Lok Nayak Foundation of Visakhapatnam.

The theme of the organization is about 'Teaching Hindi To other Language Speakers: Pedagogical Perspectives, Language Planning and Program Development'. And is hosted by Gitam University on its campus at Rishikonda.

Details of conference:

More than 200 Hindi scholars and professionals from all over the world are going to come to the conference, which was stated by the former MP, Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad, who is also the chairman of the organizing committee.

Prasad,who is also a Hindi scholar and author, stated that the conference is a unique platform for Hindi scholars and administrators. It can allow partnerships and project, which can be expanded to promote Hindi.

The main aim of the conference is to bridge the gap between pedagogical experts in the language in India and the pedagogical experts and instructors in the US and the rest of the world by introducing Hindi language  education. Padma Bhushan awardee added that Hindi is taught as a heritage language and also as a foreign language.

The scholars  from universities all over the world, including the US universities such as New York University, Columbia, Duke, City University of New York, Pace and Pennsylvania State University along with the scholars from India will be attending the conference.
