The UP Board of Secondary Education has announced that it will conduct the board exams of classes X and XII from February 7, 2019. According to the announcement, the high school exams will conclude on February 28 and intermediate exams on March 2. Deputy CM Dinesh Sharma said that the board will also declare the results of the students before April 30, 2019. “It’s historic that the examination schedule has been announced five months in advance. Students will get enough time to prepare,” the minister said.
Nitin Srivastava, the board secretary said that there are 36 question papers for the class X exams but there are more than 100 question papers for the class XII exams. When asked that how the board will conduct the exams in such a short span of time, Vinay Kumar Pandey, the board director, said, “The Allahabad office has been drafting the plan. They will soon
come up with a blueprint.”
This year, the board also took several measures to curb the cheating in the exams as it installed nearly 1.25 lakh CCTV cameras in 8,549 exam centers across the state.
