NTA has declared the results of the UGC’s National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) today, which is five days before the scheduled release date. Candidates who had appeared for the exam can visit the official website of NTA -- ntanet.nic.in or nta.ac.in and check their respective result. Of the 9.56 lakh candidates who had registered for the exam, 6.81 lakh candidates appeared for both papers.
The exam was held from December 18 to December 22 and was conducted by the NTA for the first time on behalf of the UGC. A total of 65.3 percent candidates appeared on the day one and 72.8 percent day two. The exam was held in 235 cities and was conducted in 85 subjects.
Steps to check the results
- Visit the official website of NTA as mentioned above
- On the homepage, click on the link for ‘UGC NET result’
- A new page will open
- Enter the details asked in the prescribed format
- The result will be displayed on the screen
- Download the result and take the print out of the same
The answer keys for the exam were released last week and candidates were given time until January 1 to raise the objections and since no objections were raised they declared the result today.
