Social networking site Twitter turned to ground zero when a DU student, named Gurmehar Kaur was mocked by cricketer Vriendar Sehwag and actor Randeep Hooda for launching an online campaign against the ABVP after its violence in Ramjas College.

While holding placard, Virender Sehwag posted an image on Twitter which said", I didn’t scored two triple centuries but my bat did", and said: "Bat mein hai Dum! Bharat jaisi Jagha Nahi."

Actor Randeep Hooda in support of Virender Sehwag retweeted the post which mocked Gurmehar Kaur, apparently.

Student of Lady Shri Ram College and daughter of martyr Captain Mandeep Singh, Gurmehar Kaur, made a Facebook post against Ramjas college giving it a hashtag #studentsagainstABVP.

She posted a picture holding a placard, which said"I am a student from Delhi University. I am not afraid of ABVP. I am not alone. Every student of India is with me." This post went viral with hundreds of shares. She also shared poster saying, "Pakistan did not kill my dad, war killed him."

Sehwag's tweet was in reference to the second picture.

Hooda in support of Virender Sehwag said "It was just very witty of Viru to come with "Bat mein Dum". Can't you see the irony? Defuse the situation not add."

He also said that "She (Gurmehar) is being made a pawn."

Kaur, retorted with: "Really sweet of you to encourage the hate I've been receiving. Makes me feel happy that I adored your work :) Pawn? I can think. I don't support violence perpetuated on students? Is that so wrong (sic)."

There were many exchanges of such tweets and after being trolled and threatened for rape, Kaur approached Delhi Commission and complained against the online threats she received on Twitter.
