Tree House Education and Accessories Limited ('Tree House"), one of the leading providers of educational services in India and operating the largest number of self-operated pre-schools in the country (CRISIL Research Industry Report"), has posted a Total Income of Rs. 810.9 million in the FY 2012 as compared to Rs. 411.5 million (audited) for the FY 2011. The Net Profit for FY 2012 was Rs. 216.6 million as compared to Rs. 91.9 million (audited) for the entire FY 2011. The EBITDA for FY 2012 was Rs. 458.8 million.

Tree House announced a Total Income of Rs. 234 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2012 compared to Rs 226.3 million in the Q4FY2011. Its Net Profit stood at Rs. 50.6 million for Q4 FY 2012 compared to Rs 61.2 million for the Q3FY2012. The EBITDA for Q4 FY 2012 stood at Rs. 121.6 million compared to Rs. 124 mn for the Q3FY2012. The EBITDA margin for Q4 FY 2012 is 51.9% and the Net Profit margin for Q4 FY 2012 was 21.62%.

The board of directors of the company has recommended a dividend of 10%. i.e Rs .100 per equity share of face value of Rs 10 each.

Other Important developments

The company has opened 75 new centers in the last 6 months, income for which would accrue from the next financial year. The rental and general administration costs for these centers have been accounted whereas the corresponding income will start accruing from the academic year in June 2012.

The company added 41 new pre schools in the 4th quarter of FY2012. The total number of centers as on March 31, 2012 was 302 out of which 240 were self operated. Ratio of self operated preschools to total preschools now stands at 79.4% up from 74.7% as of last quarter. The company is currently present in 37 cities in India.

Tree House Education's total staff strength as on March 31, 2012 was 1112, representing a net hiring of 98 for the last quarter 2012

Total teacher strength as on March 31, 2012 was 1017 representing a net addition of 83 during the last quarter 2012.

The Company wishes to utilize its assets more judiciously and is in the process of entering into agreements with strong players providing tutorial services. These agreements will help the Company in realizing more revenue from the leased premises without any additional capital or manpower deployment.
