Maharashtra government has decided to start Open Educational Board for the students from class 5 to class 12 to benefit the homeschooling in the state.
Education Minister Vinod Tawde said in a Tweet “the Maharashtra Rajya Mukta Vidyalaya Mandal is a platform for athletes, artists, Divyang, seniors and anyone who wishes to continue their academic journey while pursuing others interests and obligations surpassing all hurdles.”
According to the reports, the application process will remain open until January 31 and students who will register now will be able to appear for the exams in six months.
A report said “the exams for the students who register for the Open Board will be held in June and December every year”.
Students in standard 5 and standard 8 will have to select their subjects from three different groups and will be required to study a total of five subjects. To aid the process, the state education department has also set up 543 help centers across the state where students can submit original documents -- such as such as identity proof and school leaving certificate-- , pay fee and collect books.
